What have we done?




The MTP was assembled by the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), with support from various institutions and sponsored by the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Union for the implementation in Mexico of the MTP Technology Platform for the Future Internet .

The Future of Internet that have been established by the EU Framework Programme and in reducing the digital divide and the trade gap between PYME's mexican and european like to work under the principles of of the Joint Declaration.


Centralize communication efforts and designing courses of action with 100 members from throughout Mexico, including 13 research centers, 13 universities, 11 corporations, nine PYME'sy 17 institutions as Nafinsa, Coparmex, UNAM and the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey ITESM.

Align the participation of the most important clusters belonging to the National Clusters and IT (CNCS) and the Ministry of Economy.

To sensitize the general public about the importance of this technology initiative and its functionality in the country's economic development, through new building new businesses.


  • The work is positioned to link the MTP platform with the European Union, consolidating it as one of the greatest advances in TICs in the country in the last decade.
  • Diffusion of the forum "Towards a Future Internet vision in Mexico through cooperation with the European Union for innovation."
  • Placement of information on the ecosystem of specialized networks of academia, government and industry, through Nafinsa, Copamex and ITESM.


-           It captures the attention of business, technological and academic importance of the country over the Mexican Technology Platform.

-          During the forum was attended by over 150 specialists interested in this development, with the firm intention to integrate the actions that lead to the consolidation of the project.

-          The public learned of the importance of work and managed to gauge the projection of the Future Internet.
